Quantunix team reviewing financial data in a modern office setting

About Quantunix

We build data-intelligence and risk-calibration tools that help UK small and medium enterprises make more considered decisions about surplus capital.

Why we started Quantunix

Quantunix was founded to address a gap we kept encountering: businesses accumulating surplus capital with no structured way to evaluate how it should be managed, deployed, or held back. Existing tools were either built for large institutions or oversimplified for consumer use, leaving SMEs to rely on spreadsheets, guesswork, or advice that didn't reflect their scale.

We set out to build something narrower and more useful: a platform focused specifically on the data and risk questions that matter to smaller finance teams, without unnecessary complexity or generic dashboards.

  • Built specifically for SME finance decisions, not adapted from institutional tooling
  • Focused on clarity over volume of data
  • Designed to support judgement, not replace it

What we're working toward

Our mission is to give SMEs the same calibre of data and risk-analysis tools that larger organisations take for granted, presented in a way that fits how smaller finance teams actually operate.

01

Clarity first

We prioritise straightforward, usable outputs over dense reporting that requires specialist interpretation.

02

Proportionate risk

Our tools are built around the reality that SME risk appetite and constraints differ from those of larger institutions.

03

Practical scope

We focus on a defined set of problems related to surplus capital rather than attempting to cover every area of finance.

How we approach the work

These principles guide how we design tools, communicate results, and prioritise what to build next.

01

Transparency

We aim to make the reasoning behind any analysis visible, rather than presenting conclusions as a black box.

02

Restraint

We would rather build fewer features well than add complexity that doesn't serve a clear purpose for our users.

03

Accountability

We treat our tools as an input to decision-making, not a substitute for professional judgement or advice.

The people behind Quantunix

Quantunix is built by a small, focused team drawn from backgrounds in financial analysis, software design, and risk management. We work directly with the businesses that use our tools to make sure what we build stays grounded in real decisions, not theoretical use cases.
